MAUL is an armored unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) built specifically to evacuate wounded soldiers from frontline positions that have become too deadly for human medics to reach. It targets the "grey zone" — the highly contested territory where Russian FPV drones hunt any moving vehicle, making standard ambulances suicide runs.
The requirements for MAUL came directly from frontline combat experience written by combat medics. To bring this project to scale, the Ukrainian manufacturer **DevDroid** took over design refinement and is now producing them in serial production.
By funding this project, Medaria Aid will procure these units and deliver them directly to frontline medical units, offering full accountability to our donors.

The combat record is the ultimate proof of the UGV's capability. In active service, MAUL has performed evacuations that would have been impossible for human crews.
A MAUL UGV was successfully deployed to retrieve a wounded soldier stranded **64 kilometres deep inside Russian-held territory** after 33 days. The UGV returned successfully under repeated FPV drone strikes, surviving a mine blast along the route and bringing the soldier back alive.
Frontline medical teams utilized a MAUL UGV to carry out **six successful evacuations in a single 24-hour period** under active FPV drone threats. Standard ambulances could not enter the zone due to immediate drone targeting, making the UGV the sole lifeline.
Operating in settlements under active enemy control, MAUL has repeatedly pulled wounded soldiers out to safety. In multiple missions, the UGV **took direct drone-dropped munition hits** but continued operating due to its heavy-duty mechanical build and airless wheels.
