Designed by Medics, For Medics

MAUL is an armored unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) built specifically to evacuate wounded soldiers from frontline positions that have become too deadly for human medics to reach. It targets the "grey zone" β€” the highly contested territory where Russian FPV drones hunt any moving vehicle, making standard ambulances suicide runs.

The requirements for MAUL came directly from frontline combat experience written by combat medics. To bring this project to scale, the Ukrainian manufacturer **DevDroid** took over design refinement and is now producing them in serial production.

By funding this project, Medaria Aid will procure these units and deliver them directly to frontline medical units, offering full accountability to our donors.

πŸ€–
Unmanned Operations
Evacuating wounded from high-threat sectors without risking the lives of paramedic drivers. Operates via secure radio control lines and built-in cameras, allowing remote operation from a safe distance.
βš™οΈ
Internal Combustion Power
Unlike battery-reliant UGVs, MAUL uses a heavy-duty ATV chassis powered by an internal combustion engine. This eliminates frontline battery recharging downtime, ensuring the vehicle is ready to roll immediately, round the clock.

MAUL Specifications

Engineering built for the harshest battlefield conditions on the front lines.

πŸ›‘οΈ Armored Protection
Polypropylene Capsule
Features a custom polypropylene armored capsule designed to protect the casualty inside from shrapnel, artillery fragments, and drone-dropped munitions.
πŸ›ž Mine-Resistant Wheels
Airless Metal Wheels
Fitted with specialized airless metal wheels that keep rolling even after taking shrapnel damage or sustaining a mine strike.
⚑ High Performance
50 to 70 km/h
Capable of speeds up to 50 km/h in rugged terrain, and up to 70 km/h (β‰ˆ43 mph) on hard surfaces, reducing the time a casualty spends in the danger zone.
πŸ—ΊοΈ Operational Range
100 - 150 km
Operates with a range of approximately 150 km on hard surfaces and 100 km in deep mud or off-road conditions on a single tank.
πŸ’ͺ Heavy Payload
~200 kg
Designed to support a heavy payload of up to 200 kg, carrying the wounded soldier in full combat gear along with emergency medical equipment.
⏱️ Rapid Deployment
~10 Minutes
The UGV is highly portable and can be deployed from transport to active battlefield operation in less than 10 minutes.

Proven in Combat

The combat record is the ultimate proof of the UGV's capability. In active service, MAUL has performed evacuations that would have been impossible for human crews.

πŸ‡·πŸ‡Ί 64 km Russian-Held Rescue

A MAUL UGV was successfully deployed to retrieve a wounded soldier stranded **64 kilometres deep inside Russian-held territory** after 33 days. The UGV returned successfully under repeated FPV drone strikes, surviving a mine blast along the route and bringing the soldier back alive.

πŸš‘ 6 Evacuations in 24 Hours

Frontline medical teams utilized a MAUL UGV to carry out **six successful evacuations in a single 24-hour period** under active FPV drone threats. Standard ambulances could not enter the zone due to immediate drone targeting, making the UGV the sole lifeline.

πŸ’₯ Direct Hit Survivability

Operating in settlements under active enemy control, MAUL has repeatedly pulled wounded soldiers out to safety. In multiple missions, the UGV **took direct drone-dropped munition hits** but continued operating due to its heavy-duty mechanical build and airless wheels.

Cost & Honest Caveats

Military vehicle pricing moves rapidly and depends heavily on specific configurations. We are committed to complete transparency on how funds are spent:

  • Manufacturing Cost: Approximately **$19,000 USD (β‰ˆ800,000 UAH)** is the floor production cost for the chassis and capsule shell.
  • Commercial Configurations: Commercial pricing ranges from **$22,600 to $33,900 USD per unit**, which includes essential secure communications, radio linkages, and control configurations.
  • Sweden Agreement: As of June 2026, Ukraine and Sweden signed a cooperation agreement to begin mass-producing the MAUL UGV in Sweden, which may improve delivery timelines and scale production.

We have set a target of **Β£50,000 GBP (approx. $64,000 USD)**. This goal covers the procurement of **two fully configured MAUL units** with operational communication gear and delivery direct to the front line.
